The-Haunted-Wood-Trail-Harpenden-Hertfordshire

A route around the forest area on Harpenden Common, starting opposite St Dominic Catholic Primary School. The ghostly Woman in White will be there to meet you and give you all the info you need to make it through the trail - in return for your help in finding the Wicked Witch's cat!

With the aid of your activity map you must solve questions at the spooky sites along the trail and find the name of the Wicked Witch's beloved cat - calling out their name is your password to escape the wood! As a reward, each child will receive a Halloween treat.

To ensure everyone has plenty of time to enjoy the route, please pre- book your group ticket at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/the-haunted-wood-trail-2022-tickets-433119420847

However, we will also welcome people without tickets at the start if you decide to join us on the day.

Once your time is upon you, go and meet the Woman in White. Should you wish to donate, have your £5 in cash ready in exchange for the map. Card payments will be accepted. All donations will go to help fundraise for St Dominic Catholic Primary School, Harpenden.

Remember to bring a pen, wear suitable footwear, keep warm and stay safe.

Happy Haunting!

Marti Pellow - Pellow Talk

Marti Pellow Eric Morecambe Centre Harpenden Hertfordshire

Saturday 23rd October
Front Doors Open: 6.30pm | Auditorium: 7pm | Show Starts: 7.30pm

You’ve never seen me like this before. You’ve never been this close. I’m inviting you to spend an intimate evening with me – think of it as coming back to my place for a night of stories and songs.

Pellow Talk is a chance to learn all about me, not just as a singer and songwriter with Wet Wet Wet, but as a boy and a man. It’s a chance to understand the DNA of the hits that we’ve listened to and loved over the years.

The evening will be wrapped in music, from songs you know to ones you’ll get to know. There’ll be laughter as we travel from the banks of the River Clyde to the top of the charts, then onto Broadway and beyond. There’ll be no mask and no character. This is me, Marti, stepping out of the shadows, speaking directly to you.

The invitation is there. I hope you come and spend some time with me. Enough living has been done for a life to unfold. Enough years have passed for a story to be told.

Marti Pellow

Bootleg 60s live music eric morecambe centre harpenden Hertfordshire

Saturday 22nd October
Front Doors Open: 6.30pm | Auditorium: 7pm | Show Starts: 7.30pm

WE’RE BACK! It’s been quite a while, but we’re delighted to announce that we’re touring the UK again!

We’ll be off around the highways and byways of Blighty this coming October.

There’ll be some old favourite places and a few venues that are new to us, but the one thing that we can definitely promise is that this will be the best show we’ve ever done in the UK… We’ve made quite a few changes since the last time we were here!

We’ve spent the past six years making The Bootleg Sixties the biggest and most successful show of its’ kind in the Netherlands and Belgium, and we’re going to be putting all of that experience up on the stage in October.

If even Sir Elton John thinks this is the best band of it’s kind in the world, who are we to argue, so why not come and welcome us back home ?!

Sue Barker Live: Calling The Shots

Sue Barker Live: Calling The Shots

Spend an unforgettable evening with tennis and broadcasting legend Sue Barker as she shares the remarkable story of her life and career. From her former tennis career as Britain’s No 1 player and world No 3, to her four decades on camera as an award-winning broadcaster, this event will celebrate publication of her all in, once-only autobiography – Calling the Shots.

Rewind to 1971, and Sue Barker’s coach is sending his 15-year-old tennis protégé to a junior championship in France, alone, with a one-way ticket, telling her she’d have to win the money to pay for her return fare. Sue hides in the grounds of the hosting tennis club overnight, to avoid paying for a hotel. The next day, she walks onto court and smashes it. Five years later, and she’s Britain’s No 1.

The same combination of grit, grace and talent took her to the top of live Sports TV. And now, after four decades on camera encouraging other legends to tell their stories, she is telling her own.

Join Sue for this exclusive live event as she takes us inside the showbizzy world of 70s and early 80s tennis. She reveals the battles she fought for hard-won success in two careers, gives us a ringside seat on the nation’s biggest sporting dramas, and a fascinating insider’s understanding of competitors under pressure.

Don’t miss out on your chance to hear from Sue live as she shares her extraordinary life story. As a former tennis champion and an award-winning broadcaster Sue has brought sporting history into our living rooms for decades. Come and spend an evening with this trail-blazing woman who has always called the shots.

*Every ticket purchase includes a signed copy of Calling the Shots (RRP £20).*
*There will be a chance to ask Sue your own questions during an audience Q&A section.*
*Produced by Penguin Live by arrangement with M&C Saatchi Merlin.*
