Interested in the Arts? Why not join our next lecture, at the Eric Morecambe Centre in Rothamsted Park. (£6 for one lecture or £45 for annual membership).

The saints of the Christian Church begin in the Bible itself, but many favourites have separate, later stories of their own. St George and St Katherine may still be familiar, but what about St Apollonia or St William of York? St Zita or Little St Hugh of Lincoln? Each has their unique tale and their importance to the lives of the faithful.

Sherlock & the Case of the Horrible Thing – HURST Childrens Theatre Group

There is a ‘Horrible Thing’ happening in modern-day London. What it is, nobody knows! The one man who can get to the bottom of it, is of course Sherlock Holmes. Who is behind the devilish plot which involves the kidnap of the King and Queen, Taylor Swift and a ‘normal’ family called the Normals? Could it be a sibling of Sherlock’s arch enemy, Moriarty, called Arty Farty?

Helped by the trusty Dr. Watson, Sherlock’s brother Mycrosoft, Inspector Leo Tard, the Baker Street Kids, and the Little Bobbies; Sherlock fights the forces of evil and saves the day!

With a cast of hundreds, the Hurst Children’s Theatre Group will take to the stage of the EMC on July 13th, 14th, 15th and 16th.

You will not want to miss a minute of this thrilling tale. Will Sherlock discover what the Horrible Thing is, in time to save his country? You know he will! The cast members are aged 3-18 but this is a show for the whole family. Loads of songs, dances, chases, disguises and of course, plenty of laughs along the way!
